Founder
FundTap Sarl is the General Partner/Fund Manager to FundTap Luxembourg Funds and was founded by Alan G. Burr. With over a decade of professional investment experience, Alan had identified early on in his career the importance and attractiveness of systematic Managed Futures strategies. It was his experience and knowledge that lead to the development of our proprietary Trend Analysis Program (TAP), which guides the fund manager through the latter stages of assets selection and allocation.
In TAP's review of all systematic Managed Futures strategies, it was identified that a highly filtered portfolio of lower correlated strategies, each of which offering in the own right key properties that add value to the overall portfolio, could when combined together provide strong, more consistent returns with lower volatility (less risk) than the current market leaders.
In creating the fund, both the Madoff scandal and the Credit Crunch served to focus our attention on providing both the best structure and service providers. Formation of a licensed fund (SICAV SIF) in a highly reputable jurisdiction (Luxembourg), appointment of: third party custodians (ING Luxembourg SA), fund administrators (Maitland Luxembourg SA) and world renowned auditors (Deloitte Luxembourg SA), accessing strategies through managed accounts and listing the fund on the main market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange demonstrates the level of respect we have for your savings and their security.
To ensure the fund had the best possible start and as a mark of our confidence in our abilities: FundTap Sarl's shareholders have seeded the fund with their own money (0.9M USD+); we capped establishment costs and fixed a low performance fee of just 10%.
